I’m very pleased to announce the finalization of an agreement with Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. naming Recoverings as the authorized producer of reproduction dust-jackets for all books produced by them between 1931 and 1948.
The dust-jackets will be sold on both the Recoverings web site and the Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. web site.
This arrangement will allow Recoverings to have access to high-quality scans of all cover art in ERB, Inc.’s archives and will ensure that these reproductions will represent the art in the sharpest, cleanest images ever.
The first dust-jackets produced under this arrangement will be the four Venus series first editions, followed by Tarzan and Mars titles along with the most rare of the non-series books.
Since 1999 I have been reconstructing the complete library of ERB dust-jackets from A.C. McClurg & Company and Metropolitan Books. This collaboration with ERB, Inc. will allow me to finalize the list of 78 first edition titles (not counting the two juveniles) published during Edgar Rice Burroughs’ lifetime.
